The Landscaper has just left and the plants look wonderful … now is the time to put your personal touch on your space.
Do you find angels and cherubs bring you serenity and peace? Place sculptures on the patio table, fence or wall; have them peaking out at the base of shrubs or sitting on a flat rock. They come in all sizes and poses – you can even choose from wall plaques, water fountains, wind chimes or lighting.
Is humor more your style? Think about tacking a funny wall plaque on your fence or hanging from a tree, place bird feeders or bird houses around the yard, put a humorous statue on the patio.
There are so many things you can do to make your space special and a place that reflects who you are. Do you like music – hang up wind chimes. They not only give you beautiful music, but can visually relax you, make you laugh or delight you with their bright colors.
Place some patriotic items around that show your support for the men and women risking their lives for us on a daily basis. You don’t have to wait for the 4th of July!
Love flowers? Place pots around with annuals or perenials. Flowers are cheerful and brighten up your mood, as well as your yard! You can put them on your patio, at your front walkway, entry doors or on the edges of your lawn. They present even better grouped or on plant stands.
Try putting in some stepping stones that lead to a bench, prized plant or to the lawn. Use some that inspire, motivate or that reflect the style of your sculptures. They can also be used to brighten a dark spot or brings the eye to an area. Garden stakes will also have drawn your eyes to your flower beds. There are garden stakes with birds, frogs, welcome signs, flamingos, cranes, etc. – your choice!
